We are now publishing our monthly Did Not Attend (DNA) rate to highlight the impact missed appointments have on our service and other patients.
Last month:
- 129 appointments were not attended
- Each appointment slot is 15 minutes
- This resulted in a total loss of 1,935 minutes of clinical time
That is equivalent to:
- 32 hours and 15 minutes of lost appointment time
- Over 4 full working days of clinical capacity
Why this matters
When appointments are missed without cancellation:
- Valuable clinical time goes unused
- Other patients miss the opportunity to be seen sooner
- Waiting lists increase unnecessarily
- Staff time is wasted that could have been used for care delivery

If you are unable to attend your appointment, please cancel it as early as possible. Even short notice cancellations allow us to offer the slot to another patient who needs care.
